Sustainable Food and Nutrition Security under Changing Climatic Conditions

Basic principles for core strategic statements and approaches to practical action

Climate change, global megatrends and their resulting negative effects pose enormous challenges for mankind in the 21st century. (2012)

It is estimated that the world's population will increase to approximately nine billion by 2050. The challenges of food security at a time when natural resources are shrinking due to a rapidly growing and commodity-hungry world population will have differing regional impacts and endanger already marginalised population groups.
