Accountability: We are accountable to the people we work with, our supporters and partners, and we stand by our actions and results.

For WHH, trust is of utmost importance. It is essential to achieve our common goals and to maintain our organization’s credibility.

However, we cannot generate trust out of thin air. It is built on integrity, which means consistently following a clear set of rules, even if nobody watches. This set of rules is our Code of Conduct. Our Code of Conduct enables us to work across enormous ethnic and cultural differences and meet high professional standards.

Code of Conduct

The Code of Conduct addresses grievances like corruption, fraud, violence, and discrimination – which are major reasons for the existence and entrenchment of hunger and poverty. Thus, neglecting or even violating the Code of Conduct contradicts the core of our mission. Accordingly, we do not take violations lightly. We prevent them wherever we can and report, investigate, and stop them when necessary. Only by doing so can we ensure that we truly live up to our mission to help the most vulnerable lead self-determined, dignified lives.
