14.19 million Euros already donated
Welthungerhilfe plans five-year programme for Haiti
(01.02.2010). As at 1st February, Welthungerhilfe has collected 14.19 million Euros for Haiti. It will use this money to finance a five-year programme for the country, which has been hit by a severe earthquake.
"We're not just looking at emergency relief aid here, but now we are already planning the long-term measures", says Dr. Wolfgang Jamann, Welthungerhilfe's Secretary General.
Afghanistan conference in London
"Cash cure" is not enough

Breach of promise instead of a commitment to climate protection
Welthungerhilfe and terre des hommes criticise draft budget for 2010
(16.12.2009) Welthungerhilfe and terre des hommes are criticising the draft budget for 2010 that has been presented today in the German federal cabinet as a breach of promise. Contrary to the pious statements of federal chancellor, Angela Merkel, the draft budget does not contain a clear commitment to funding the worldwide fight against climate change and poverty.
