Interview with Alfred Sawadogo, President of SOS Sahel
The Sahelian zone needs support
(10.5.2012) Alfred Sawadogo is the president of SOS Sahel, partner of Welthungerhilfe since 1984. Besides Burkina Faso, the aid organisation SOS Sahel works in numerous countries within the Sahelian zone. In this interview Sawadogo discusses the difficult months ahead, climate change and why he believes everything will get better. The people there need our support but nevertheless he stated: "I am convinced that the problem will still be there in a few years' time, but the people will be able to deal with it a lot better. They are learning better cultivation techniques and they are attending capacity development and literacy courses."
