Bolivia

Welthungerhilfe has been active in Bolivia since 1970. In these years we have implemented about 159 projects amounting to a total of approximately 29.3 million euros. Our main focus in Bolivia is rural development, promotion of civil society structures, social integration and vocational education and training.

Cuba

In 1994 Welthungerhilfe started implementing projects in Cuba. Since then, we have completed 48 projects amounting to approximately 25.7 million euros. Our work focuses on rural and regional development as well as emergency aid following natural disasters (hurricanes).

Ecuador

Welthungerhilfe has been working in Ecuador since 1969. During this period we have implemented about 229 projects amounting to a total of 28.9 million euros. These projects concentrate on water supply, rural development, animal husbandry, forestry and resource management. We also support local economic promotion and promote civil society structures.

Haiti

Since 1974 Welthungerhilfe has implemented 124 projects with a volume of approximately 60 million euros in Haiti. Our work concentrates on food security, irrigation and resource management as well as the supply of drinking water and an improvement in rural infrastructure.

Nicaragua

Since our first project in Nicaragua in 1978 Welthungerhilfe has implemented 68 projects for about 12.9 million euros. These projects include disaster relief, emergency aid following hurricanes, rural development and agriculture.

Peru

Welthungerhilfe has been active in Peru since 1969. During this period we have implemented about 299 projects amounting to 46 million euros. In our projects, we focus on emergency aid, rural and regional development, social integration and educational training; health and HIV&AIDS.
