Working together with the people in Sodo Welthungerhilfe helps to improve effectively livelihood in the millennium village - for a better alimentation, clean drinking water, education and better health care.

In May 2008, the cyclone Nargis made landfall in the Bay of Bengal, Mynamar (Burma) and Thailand. The hurricane caused catastrophic destruction especially in Myanmar. Right from the start Welthungerhilfe supported the victims of the disaster. On year later, a delegation comes back to visit the aid projects.

The Masai in Kenya are proud warriors and experienced cattle drovers. For special occasions they dress in their best cloths and wear colourful jewellery. When members of Welthungerhilfe-staff visited Kajiado they were welcomed by some Masai in full splendour.
