Honorary Supervisory Board

The council which operates on a honorary basis is elected by the general assembly for a period of four years. It comprises the chairperson, the deputy chair, the director of the finance committee, and up to four other members. The council represents Welthungerhilfe externally, it convenes the board of directors and the members of the audit committee, and supervises and advises the board of directors.

In addition, in accordance with the guidelines provided by the general assembly, the council determines the organisation's fundamental positions and its strategies in the area of development politics as well as its principles for project support.
