Welthungerhilfe is one of the biggest aid agencies in Germany. It campaigns against worldwide hunger and for sustainable food and nutrition security. This involves promoting site-specific agriculture, access to clean water and a modern, environment-friendly energy supply and improving healthcare and education. Almost EUR 148.5 million was collected in 2012 alone, including EUR 36.8 million in donations.
