Our organisational culture

Living and working for success and with respect

We aim for success, and measure it by improvements in the living conditions of people facing poverty and emergencies.

We utilise modern scientific findings and methods, whilst also respecting local knowledge, experience and traditions.  Thus our work is shaped by creativity and by a constant willingness to learn and innovate.

Transparency and reliability

We treat each other with respect and appreciation. We allow our staff to enjoy a balance between work and private life. This is especially applicable to those mastering particular challenges and putting themselves at personal risk in crisis regions.

We keep our promises. Transparency and reliability are the cornerstones of our work – with regard to our partners, the public, donors and public sponsors. We know that we would not succeed without our supporters. Our special thanks go to you.
